Tia's World. Alyn and Avery. Trixie's Curse. Serim of Moab. From my all time favorite computer game Myst, to cars that have been bewitched, my short stories are even more diverse than my longer works. There's actually quite a few, and surprisingly, most of them are finished; albeit, many do not have titles. Do you have title suggestions? Have at 'em. I'm open to ideas.
Never Doubt or The Price of Freedom
Pick a title.
Two brothers are captains of a rebellion agains the tyrannical rule of the mysterious Ruler. The rebellion is hopeless unless one of them can successfully infiltrate the Ruler's elite circle and feed information back to the Rebels. But seperated by everything in the universe and unable to communicate can Ardon and Abedeel still trust each other?
Based on the song "Send me a song," and the Myst games, among countless other things. It was supposed to be a novel in it's own right but ended abruptly at 10,000 words. So I guess it's a novella.
Corin falls of the ship that is taking him home and wakes up on a strange island where it seems whatever he dreams will come true. My sister thought it was creepy, but one of my friends thought it sounded like a children's story. Go figure.
2 Kings 3:26-27
And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too sore for him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew swords, to break through even unto the king of Edom: but they could not. Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.
A story without a real name.
Alyn had always been the younger, timid brother and Avery had looked out for him. But Avery was the oldest and was going to inherit his father's lands some day. It was necessary that he be strong. But Alyn had strength too. What happens when they are faced with each other?
Trixie's bought her first car rather cheaply, and her friend wants to know what's wrong with it and why the salesman seemed so eager to get it off his hands. Their preposterious theory doesn't make much since until one dark, winter night...
Another story without a name. This one is creepy. It's the closest to horror I've ever dared come...
