Stargate Project

It's still unofficial. But I have an actual project coming up. Stargate; SG-17.

I have entered the Christian Filmmakers 12 hour Holiday Film Contest in December. Me and some of my siblings put together a one minute documentary on the life of Wiliam Tyndale. Watch it here!

K&A Videography is an interesting story. We're not exactly videographers, at least not yet. The K part stands for Katie and the A part stands for Andrew, but it's not much of a partnership. Our principle problem right now is lack of equipment. Videography, for those who don't know, is recording on video. Filming important events such as weddings and funereals fall into this category, as do making music videos and documentaries. Usually Videographers are basically cameras for hire. "We have the cameras, we have the skill, what do you want videotaped?"

There are several divisions to my filming company. One of them is Pen and Ink Films, the short silly videos we made when we were beginning. Another is Willow Hills Documentary Productions; responsible for Produce Your Own books on video. I also make movies; although none have reached completion. On the drawing board is the abandoned Hidden Treasure, and the yet-to-be-written Bovine Revolt. I now have a plan for a sequal to Bovine Revolt, (scheduled to be shot this spring) called The Weed of Invisibility.

The only thing that I'm currently set up to do is picture slideshows. Anybody can take a set of photos and set them to nice background music but I take it a step beyond that. I have a talent to recognize the intricate relationship of pictures to music, to make slideshows in a way that is truly artistic. To date the only way I've used this skill is in sending pictures to my Grandmas. It's so much easier to just watch pictures of your grandkids on a big screen than to flip through a photo album. It's something to have when you want to show pictures to your friends. I make about half a dozen thematic videos a year and send them to her on DVD. My 5-year-old cousin loves to watch them. I'd like to be able to do the same thing with your pictures too.

VIDEOS

first things first. Here's my YouTube Account.

Of course, there's not much to see there, just a few Myst fan videos and some other random stuff. But you can get a sense of what I can do with random clips and cool music. It's more than just slapping music and pictures together. There's a relationship. In theatre they call it chemistry...

Here's one of the videos I've made that demonstates that principle. It's from the end of the timeline I made for my sisters graduation, set to the song "where are you going?" I write out the lyrics as subtitles and the pictures illustrate the songing, "Turning around" To show simliar pictures of Mary when she was little and when she was grown.
